The potato plants are really doing well (despite all the wind this week). There were a couple of branches that got broken off with all the wind and you can see on the left that the poles for the peas got knocked over too. The sweet corn (further to the left) is doing well and we are getting excited about seeing (and tasting) the fruit of the ground.
We were so very surprised this week to get a package in the post from SA. It was from my Granny with Christmas presents for us all. Here is Ruth in her new dress (that fits PERFECTLY and looks lovely). Every one of the presents got a comment similar to "wow, this is so nice".
Thank you so much Granny, we really appreciated it.

We headed down to the pool before lunch as Rachel was desperate to practice jumping in on her own. The wind has kept us away the last few days and so we agreed. Both Dad and Mom did not have any intention of swimming, but Rachel and Ruth did enjoy the water for a while.
Here is a photo of Rachel as she practices to jump in. Here she is trying to let her head go under the water a bit as she jumps in. She is looking forward to when Dad is in again so that she can jump in where it is deeper.
