Blood results

Today we headed into town so that Ruth could have a follow up visit with the paediatricians at the hospital. We had blood tests done again on the 25th November and it was good to learn today that her Ferritin levels have improved (from 6 to 14 in less than 4 months). So although they are still on the low side, there is improvement. This despite the fact that we chose not to use iron supplements but rather put her on a gluten free diet (with her having a sensitivity to gluten) and then also making an effort with her diet to build up her iron. So we feel quite positive. We just need to keep it up and within the next year they should be so much better. She has also put on weight nicely (she was under 10kg and is now 10,7kg). So it all looks good.
