Unfortunately there are no hamsters in New Zealand to replace "Lavender". But Rachel was very excited about getting a mouse for Christmas. Her name is Patchy and she is 5 months old.
We were able to get a cage very similar to the one she had in SA (except that this one has purple). So all the tubes she had still fit. We only put one in so far so that Patchy can get used to it. And now the "mouse house" we have is more appropriate.
