Orana Park Anniversary

It's our 13th Anniversary today and so Brendon took the day off and we headed into town to Orana Wildlife Park .
When we arrived we decided to ride around the whole park in the shuttle. The girls always love the shuttle ride. As we were going past the lemur's enclosure we saw the lady paddle over in her boat to feed them. Their feeding time is not listed so it was rather nice to have such great timing.
So sweet the way the come over for their food. Rachel says she wants one as a pet. We heard that from her many times through today. :-)
It was the first time we have gotten to the Tiger feeding. So it was lovely to see this big cat on his feed and putting on quite a show for us. What a magnificient creature.
It was not actually his feed day today. The replicate feeding in the wild where they won't eat every day. But for our benefit they gave him a small snack. He threw it into the water to give the tiger something to do and for us to see the one feline who enjoys water - in water.
Then it was off to the giraffes for their feeding. This is always a highlight for everyone (but especially me with my love for giraffes). So yes - loads of photos but it was loads of fun.

It was lovely and quite today so we got to spend loads more time feeding than normal. Hannah was really brave and wanted to do it on her own. The giraffe just pulled the whole stick out of her hand and so Dad grabbed the stick so he could pull the leaves off.
Rachel and Ruth gave him some loose leaves which he gently took off their hands.
This must be the photo of the day. Just as Brendon had taken this photo the giraffe sneezed on him. And you can imagine how big that sneeze was. Well it got everyone laughing it was just so funny. It will be a memory we will have for years to come. Ou
