Sunday 9th: Hezekiah headed out to check out the tiny little balls of hail. It was so different to other hail as it was so light that it looked like snow as it fell.
Brendon and Rachel headed out for a "last for a while" chocolate ice-cream Sunday. We will be starting a FAILSAFE elimination diet on Wednesday, so will have a rather limited range of food for a few weeks, and eating out will not happen.
Enjoying a movie together. Hezekiah loves snuggling up.
3:09 pm and a good snow fall comes through.
3:22 We expect a few "waves" of snow through the day, as you can see so clearly from that patch of blue sky. The next wave not too far away.
3:42 - heading back from Waikari after picking up Ruth and Hannah after their Brownie camp.
They got a lot more snow at camp (they got a few centimetres building up). It was stunning to see the dark clouds behind the mountains, with the sun shining down onto the freshly fallen snow.
Ruth went out to take a few photos around the house.
5:01pm The snow had mostly melted by now, so most of the white around was just ice.
I have been nervous about her getting too cold, so we didn't let her stay out very long. And with Brendon not having a jacket on - he would get cold before she would.
She really enjoyed it.
Below 5:12pm: Finally we have had snow falling this year with all the children at home. So our first photo with all 5 children in the snow.
5:25pm After some time inside to make sure she was nice and warm - we headed out again. Asher was keen to walk around in the snow.
Such a cutie.
I am so pleased she got to enjoy the snow.
