Biscuits and braids

I finally came up with an idea to give Rachel baking practice but not add loads of sugar to the family's diet. Bake and give it away. :-) So Rachel made a batch of biscuits this morning - totally on her own - and we took them with to Bible Study this evening (and leave the remaining biscuits with the host). She has made these before but as I had things to do this was a good one to start with. Absolutely no comments or supervision from Mum. Anyone got some delicious biscuit recipes they want to share for Rachel to experiment with?
After lunch I got stuck into braiding Ruth's hair. She still has all her micro braids - so no combing needed - just a quick different style for her. The microbraids on the back of her head are shorter than the rest (from the bald patch she rubbed when she was a baby) and after sleeping they stick out all funny. So having the hair in bigger braids is nice and neat and means there is no daily work to do on the hair. So we will leave this style in for a week or so.
