On the way home I told the girls we were going to make a small detour to see some Christmas lights that someone had told me about. Even though it's almost 10pm you can still see there is light in the sky. So we don't often have the girls out this late at night. It was a special treat for them. And thankfully Ruth was able to stay awake on the trip home to enjoy the lights too.
