Half day

The girls had so much fun outside today. While we were away we had someone come feed the chooks and cats and he also watered the veggie garden while he was here. So the grass just next to the veggie garden was so very long. A great place to play. But just look at all the work that needs to be done in that garden!!!!! I am looking into a way of preparing the ground through winter so that we won't have as many weeds next year. I will let you know about it if we get around to it.

Brendon worked this morning and so Rachel was not aware of it being a public holiday. She got her work done really quickly this morning though (without her realising I helped her fly through it) and so she was so pleasantly surprised when Dad came home just after lunch. She is really enjoying having the board to see what she has done and what still needs to be done. I am really impressed with this being only the second week of doing this. And please remember - she did just have 3 weeks holiday in March. So I am not a slave driver in any way. :-) Rachel has really been enjoying her work.
