After lunch we headed up to Tauranga, just 70km away. Because the little ones were having their afternoon nap as we traveled we took our time and were happy to take a scenic route that our GPS has determined was the shortest route. We knew it would not be the fastest but we were happy with that. And it was a really stunning drive.
It was great to see the Roodt family again. The last time we saw them I had recently found out that I was pregnant with Rachel. So it's been over 9 years.
They took us to "The Mount" and we had a lovely walk around it. A good 3,5km walk again today. We are being kept fit on this holiday - that is for sure.
It was lovely to see all the older children in the kitchen helping Bernie get dinner ready.
