3 days and 3 nights

"An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; and yet no sign shall be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet; for just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Matthew 12:39-40
"And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights." Jonah 1:17
It was amazing again to see how long Hannah could sit because of wanting the cat on her lap.
I quickly took advantage of having her sitting and enjoyed the best time of bible stories with her yet. I can't really say sitting still, but it was still enough for the kitten to stay.
The cats enjoyed exploring the front garden today (it was too windy yesterday) and Tiger was soon up a tree and needing Rachel to help him down. Rachel went to fetch Hannah's boot and by the time she got back this was what she found. Our little puss in boots. Hannah you make us all smile.
To go with our Jonah and the Whale story today (and because we had no bread in the house) I made blue whale / fish shaped crumpets for lunch (or pikelets for those of you in NZ).

The girls were sooooo excited about these. And they had a great time playing with the craft today too. They try to throw the bean bag Jonah into the whale's mouth. And trying to throw him out is quite fun too. I think I may have to make a second whale so that we can hang one up. :D
While I started dinner the girls headed out to help Dad in the garden.
The owners had brought the tractor in to cut this long grass a few days ago, so the girls started picking some of it up. The cats had a great time exploring and both got stuck up a tree. Brendon even had to get is ladder out to get them down. They had a great time and slept so well when they came back in.

The girls helping get the salad finished for dinner. Hannah just tasting.
This was the start of Rachel's feet exercises but soon there were marbles all over the room. There will be quite a number under the chairs after a couple of days. They had such a great time and we had a great time watching them. So I think Rachel will include them in this time every day.

This evening I got Rachel back to working on her pillow case. She had finished the embroidery ages ago, but now needs to do some sewing to finish it all up.
