The common pregnancy scans in New Zealand (that are paid for by the government) are at 12 weeks and again at 19 weeks. At 12 weeks they normally do the down syndrome screening as part of the scan but as we did not even do the blood test part of the screening with my midwife we managed to not get this done today. I did so enjoy the scan and I think the sonographer did too. She said it was so nice to just enjoy the scan the way it used to be. As we waited for movement she said “come on sweetie, move for us.”
