The x-ray confirmed a green stick fracture on her wrist and so off we went to get a cast put on. The ladies at both the Medical Imaging rooms (for the x-ray) and the Orthopaedic centre (for the cast) were all so very friendly and helpful. Rachel got this lovely cut out poster of bones (which she is very excited about putting together). And when Rachel told the ladies that her next unit study was going to be on the human body they started giving her lovely extra bits of information. So yes, a trip to the emergency room for a home schooler will normally end up in an education outing. So even though Rachel was in a lot of pain, it was also a very interesting day (not to mention getting MacDonald's for lunch).
