Garden clean up

Brendon spotted an advert at the local shop for this ride on. It has only done 35 hours and looks brand new. The owners are moving into "town" and don't need it anymore. So finally we can keep the grass as short as we would like (without spending 7 hours cutting every week).
The only negative is that there is no catcher on the back, so Nana helped rake up the cut grass (cutting well you can end up with all the cut grass in one strip). The grass is looking rather brown now, but we cut it really low so that it will not be too long when we come back.
That section behind Nana was the next thing to be tackled. There is a BBQ area in there. That shows you how long it has been since someone did a real clean out in this garden.
With chainsaw in hand and his Dad's help Brendon managed to clear out so much. Brendon loaded up the back of the Ute a few times taking all off it away.
This photo was actually taken on the 1st March (1 week later), but I wanted to show the final result of all the hard work. It looks so nice and has become one of Rachel's favorite spots. We also had the cattle come and visit the area just outside the back gate where we dropped all the branches and they managed to eat almost all of it up within just two days. All that is left are the huge branches.
Hannah also wants to know what is going on outside.
Cutting the hedge.
Brendon finally got time to climb up and clean the gutters.
His parents helped collect all that he was throwing out...
That's a LOT of sand......
