Party & crafts

Ruth was very excited today as she had been invited to a birthday party. She chose the flowers for the card and enjoyed putting a lot of stickers on the inside.
Danielle turned 4 and was allowed to invite 2 people to her party (with 8 children in their family the rule is a party every 2nd year and 1/2 your age is the amount of guests). So it was really special that Ruth was one of the girls she wanted to invite.
Ruth's still a bit unsure of this party hat.
This is also one of the many dresses that Danielle's mom (also Ruth) gave our Ruth. This specific one (I learnt today) was bought in Israel around 16 years ago. So Ruth (the Mom) took a photo of Ruth in the dress to send to her sister (the original owner).
Ruth learning to play "pass the parcel". She ended up getting the book too which was lovely.
And while we were at the party Rachel enjoyed some time with Julia. She finished off the pillow she had made at a previous visit (it needed to be made into a pillow as it was just the fabric with the flowers up till now).
It looks great Rachel.
Good job.
Aunty Julia also showed Rachel (and us when we arrived) how to spin wool. Rachel even had a go herself. The wool they are using is from Julia's sheep.
Rachel always learns so much when she visits. She also made scrambled eggs on toast for them for lunch. Julia was the one that really helped me to get Rachel involved in the kitchen. She does not mind a mess and is so patient in giving instructions and letting them learn as they go.
Julia, you are not only a blessing to my girls but to me as well.
I thank the Lord for you.
