Fun at the Pool

Another fun hour at the pool. This time Dad was in with Hannah. She really enjoyed it.

We brought these "toys" with but have decided they are not helpful. Ruth is better off without it in the small pool (although it is fun for her in the big pool) but the big problem is with Rachel. She spent hardly any time actually trying to swim today because she was floating around on hers. Last time we came she really did work nicely on her swimming. So next time they will be left at home.

Ruth had seen a boy jump off these steps (they are left there for a "diving board" of sorts). So she climbed up herself and told Dad she was going to jump in. So he asked her if she wanted to jump in with Dad. She said yes, but when they got up there she decided it was too high.
She did jump in though from the side. Well done Ruth.
She got some water up her nose, but hopefully that won't put her off for next time. As soon as Rachel had mentioned to Nana on Skype this evening about the pool, Ruth ran over and told her about how she jumped in and got water in her nose. So perhaps the excitement of telling Nana what she has done will get her to try it again.
