Learning is fun

Again Maureen (my midwife) was just so good with the girls at her visit yesterday. She took some blood and so Rachel had a lot of questions. She got all the info about how all the different peaces work. Rachel was very excited to tell Maureen that she has some "real" doctor things things that Nana gave her years ago (little things like gloves and a mask ect) so Maureen decided to add to her "doctor set" and gave her a few things for "taking blood". She has a toothpick playing the part of the needle and Ruth is more than happy to play with. Dad even filled some of the little bottles with red coloured water so they really feel that they have the "real thing".
Then today the piano tuner came around. He was such a kind man and spent quite a bit of time teaching Rachel about how it all works. I must say - I learnt a lot more too. It was great to have him explain so much.
